Performance tuning and benchmarks

From candidate configuration to validation — documenting tuning

A tuning record must explain what changed, the validation conditions, and which results are comparable. This example uses configuration snippets and structured notes to show how candidate parameters, validation requirements, and the scope of changes relate. It contains no measured results.

From candidate configuration to validation — documenting tuning — illustrative cover, not measured data

Record how the candidate configuration was chosen

This example shows how to write tuning notes. It does not imply that an automated tuning and deployment pipeline exists.

Compare under identical conditions

Fix the inputs

Record the model, environment, and workload first. Avoid attributing results to a single parameter when several factors have changed.

Save the configuration

# Illustrative configuration, not a deployment recipe
experiment:
baseline: fixed-reference
candidate: explicit-change
validation: required

Keep limitations beside conclusions

Actual tuning records must state the measurement scope, failed samples, and recovery methods. This article contains no benchmark results.
